I'm having the mother of all fruitless searches trying to find some software that will generate a playlist from a database of tracks - text only. I don't want to deal in audio files - I want to enter (as text) hundreds of tracks into a database, give them certain 'a list' 'b list' criterea, and then have the program select a 'random' 30 tune running order within given criterea (not repeating artists etc.)
Sounds like a bog standard job for MS Access or something but i just CAN'T find any software that does it! Help!?

I am a computer dummie and need detailed instructions for making the connection work, I have it hooked up and the guest computer (ME) will connect to yahoo and PalTalk but it will not let me check the email or browse the net. Multiple Midi Programs
Does anyone know of a cheap or free piece of software which will internally connect midi programs on XP or Win2K. I have had a look at Hubi's Loopback and Multimidi but cannot get them to work on XP.
I need to share the MTC from one sequencer on my PC with other internal programs and external multitrack. I need to keep the midi input into the PC free for keyboard controller. Cheers

Hey can you hook up 2 Tascam 688 multitrack recorders to the Tascam MTS-1000 and get 16 tracks by doing this since both Tascam 688's are eight track recorders?

The TASCAM MTS-1000 was a sophisticated synchronization device allowing MIDI sequencers or other MIDI devices to be precisely synchronized to SMPTE-based recording equipment. It would also allow you to lock up two tape machines.- The TASCAM TSR-8 was an 8-track recorder using 1/2" tape on 10 1/2" reels with the ability to synchronize to other machines using the MTS1000

BTW, In saw something on another blog site I think it is a good idea to let as many people / bloggers know about. I was just organizing my vacation for later this year and stumbled across the above web site about <a href="http://www.balidiscovery.org.uk/">Bali</a>, where I was considering going. But just read what it says there and especially between the lines; unreal. A travel agent there <a href="http://www.balidiscovery.org.uk/discovery-tours-sanur.html">Bali Discovery Tours of Sanur</a> went to their friend the police chief and made trouble for someone visiting the island who had caught this travel agent offering unauthorized room rates on the Internet for the <a href="http://www.balidiscovery.org.uk/hotel-santika-kuta.html">Hotel Santika Beach in Kuta</a>, which is where I was going to stay, but thank God I am not now (I am not even going to Bali becuase of this) - seems to me like the hotel did not exactly help!
The poor guy was detained by the police for 4 days and had his passport illegally seized. He was not released until the British Embassy filed a formal complaint. Of course, there were no charges!! This is absolutely terrible. Please, please, please, join me in saying "Stuff Bali - I'm going somewhere where they treat people like guests, not enemies".

I want to convert the movies I have downloaded which play in widescreen format on my laptop to full screen. How do I do this or is there a program that I can download that will convert it over. I'd like to convert a midi file to a format that is recognized by my cd player. Can you recomend a software?

What I did was to use two programs... one to play the midi file and then a separate to record to a wav file. Once I had the wav files, I was able to write an audio cd from them.

Mark was correct, I used TotalRecorder Software to record as or either in MP3 format or straight Wave file format, I did not think of that but it was marks idea.
Don't forget to set the software U have to record what I hear.

You need a MIDI file rendering program such as Audio Compositor.

i'm a new cubase user and i can't create a drum loop since the drum editor isn't enabled.
