Im 15 and me and my mate (whos 16) want to be famous singers, we've written about 16 songs together and she's thought of a few tunes to go with them. we havent had singing lessons yet, and we also have a manager. could you give me some tips please?

listening to cubase plug-in effects as you play and record

Hi, I am not able to hear an effect when I am actually playing the instrument - it is there on playing back the recorded track, but not when you are actually recording it.

I am using the Amplitide plug-in to get guitar amp effects and I get great results on the recorded sound, but it just sounds completely bare of effects when I am playing.

I have the same trouble with effects on midi tracks. Surely it must be possible to set things up so that you can get hear how the effect is altering the sound at the point when you are playing the instrument.

Does anyone have any ideas?

ASIO Soundfonts and Extigy

I've currently managed to set up to play soundfonts live via my MIDI keyboard and an Audigy card using ASIO; and very nice it is too.

Is it possible to do the same sort of thing with a laptop and an external soundcard such as Extigy? 'cos carrying a PC and screen to gigs is a bit heavy!!

Creative "bought" many years ago the akaï chip for its sampling purposes...
so this was one of the first creative soundcards, connected trough PCI...
Today these (improved) "akaï" chips still run via PCI but USB (a cable????)....
Maybe in about a few years
but, not yet, not yet...

i am a guy from a west african country nigeria,i'm 22 years old, i'm loaded with lots of talents.i'm a king in the making an infant king and has an out standing charisma.
i am good in lyrics and write almost 3 to 4 pages every day,thats not joke.
i have an amazing inspiration about any thing i lay my hands on but all i need is a little push and i'wil be a world star cause i feel it and i see it all around me.
my friends tell me that but the only problem is that people with such gifts doesnt have any room to perform perfectly here in my country.
i mean they dont value us.i want to be recognised world wide.being a star in my country you will live broke and only be known within your state,i see past all this things cos i cant be limited i'm a light to my generation.
i have produced not less than 50 tracks on my own privacy infact i love doing it pls all i'm asking is for a genuin person from usa who is capable of brushing me up as in a pillar to which i will stand to perfect my works.a producer,director, etc.
i can act movie,a very good dancer,joke teller etc pls i want to realy make good use of this talents.

Roland vs880 and cakewalk setup

I have a Roland VS880ex and cakewalk sonar 2.0 and a motu micro lite 5x5 midi box
I want cakewalk (PC) to be master. I need setup for both I have songs that I want to off load from vs-880ex track by track to cakewalk. Is this pos. If so need help with setup

I want to be able to trigger designated wav files using a midi keyboard. I have seen this in some movies so I suspect that there are programs that can do this but I don't know what they'd be called or where I can look for them. If anyone can tell me I'd love it! Thanks!

sonic stage burning software

i can add any more files to the burn list! it says it cannot find the cdr-rw drive for burning. ive tried configure but nothing shows up on the drag menu for reading or writing!how do i get around this!?

The Sony minidisc comes with a disk for the download of sonic stage. I don't think the sonywebsite gives a download other than that. Maybe u could contact sony to send u disk but I know it will cost u.
