note book or desktop

Will buy Native kompakt and vokator and new PC high performance. I'm considering the alternative of a note book ASUS. They suggested RAM 1.024. Such RAM for note book too expensive. Think better to get a desktop with SB Audigy platinum which includes the Cubasis 4.0 VST that seems to be compatible with Native software.
Is there anybody to suggest anything?

RMJ files have copy-protection, so you can't convert them.

There is the Magith program that may do what you want.

Also I often practice melodies using my Rousseau program
for number musical notation on my Palm and PocketPC. My programs are are free at http://www.normanschmidt.net

Roland MC 50/Korg D1200mk2

Hi,
I am a owner of a roland sequencer MC50.I have been wanting to purchase a Korg D12 (digital recorder) but I have been wondering if I would be able to midi sync my roland mc50 with it as the recorder accepts midi messages from MMC compatible sequencers only.Can someone tell me if my mc50 falls under the MMC compatibility?

I can download an SMF(.mid) file onto an IBM formatted 2SHD 1.44MB floppy disk, and the A-drive directory in My Computer shows it was successfully downloaded onto my A-drive. But when I insert it into my Korg X2 sequencer and download the SMF directory, I get "Data Error" every time, although manufactured SMF floppys, such as TUNE1000, play just fine. It is not the floppy disk I am using, so what else could it be?

How can I burn an mp3 song file from my computer to a floppy disc to use in a Yamaha psr550 keyboard?
I am trying to create a personal cd of myself singing. I plan to record myself onto tape using my keyboard, mike etc then to try to copy the tape onto a cd through my computer. However, before i can do this i need to transfer my mp3 files into my keyboard which takes floppy disc. I hope this makes sense. Can you give me any advice on how to achieve this?

Here goes
I have a mp3 file which is 15MB in size.What i want to do with it is :
1. I want to clip the file size to a 1 minute file size - actually this one minute file size shall be a sample file which i want to uplaod on my webpage. Viewers will fisrt listen to this sample and then if they like it shall download the full file. which is the best way/format to do this. I am a bit desperate and if somebody can help me out it wud be great.

I downloaded the free notation called Musette v2.3. When I double click it I'm told that 10 files have been unzipped but that's all it will do. Can anyone tell me how to make it work?

If you check the through the unzipped files, there should be at least one with a .exe bit on the end - it may be called setup.exe or something similar. Run this - it should install the software so you can use it.

W98 destroying MPC2000 files

If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know. And people I'm a Mac man so if you need to muck about on a DOS level I'm gonna need step-by-step instructions.

Br-532 converter

--> Win XP will allow installing programs in compatibility mode (e.g.-install it compatible to Win ME). Right click on the program from desktop or go to "help and support" from the start menu. Hope it helps.

what are you recording off - vinyl or cd?
do you have equipment to record with? ie. a computer and/or a set of dj decks/mixer/headphones? or are you ripping and mixing in a sound editing program?

Im RECORDING WITH A COMPUTOR WITH A PAIR OF DECKS AND A MIXER AND HEADPHONES.

Roland ep7 IIe

The tuner thing at the back may be loose or broken.
Ive had problems with this because I did not look after my Roland EP7 very well and often hit the back of it and it used to go out of tune i had to go get it fixed twice.

Check the tune knob thing at the back to see if its loose, if so, that could be ur problem and it needs to be fixed
