It's easy.

Then go to a website that provides free music like MP3.com and away yo go!

im a 14 yr old female.my idols are whitney houston mariah carey and beyonce
and practically singing is my whole life i sing everyday (literally)
um i think u should choose me because i myself and others always complement my singing i think i have been singing since i was either 6,7 or 8 at the most
i wasn't singing at 3 or 4 years old.like the others claim
um let me see i do think i do need to practice on my voice a little
well anyway im in new jersey if there's anyone with any answers or anybody that would love to be my manager or give me a record deal i would love it so much just contact me at beauti224@aol.com

Well, number 1 - people don't GIVE you a record deal. You have to convince them that your voice is worth signing you up for. You haven't mentioned anything about a demo tape. Do you have one?

If you're really serious about wanting to be a singer, the sooner you start the sooner you'll get started. If you're main objective is to get signed by a recording label then you should take the steps that will get you noticed by the record labels. You may be able to start using your local area. A lot of people overlook the resources that they have either because they are not aware of them or they just can't see it. While the majority of things you should be doing would be offline - don't forget about the internet and add it to your list of resources as well.

You sound like you have the desire but there are some basic things that you have to learn. For instance if you are under-aged your parents or guardian will have to sign your recording contract. In fact you should acquaint yourself with contracts and copyrights as well.

The above information shouldn't put you off because I'm sure that you are aware that there are singers out there the same age as you and even younger. They got their start so now it's your turn.

From reading your post I am curious about a few things like for instance - do you have some kind of demo tape? I ask because even though you sound as if you're sincere I'm wondering how much you know about the music business at all?

If you are truly serious about wanting to become a singer then you should take steps to plan! Don't know where to start? How about your local area? There are always overlooked resources that can be found in one's own local area.

So I'm wondering how serious you are about it? It would probably make you angry to know that there have been people who have started a singing career with a lot less than you have right now - but they managed to have successful singing careers.

It's one thing to talk about it and an entirely different thing to DO something about it!

If you are really serious about wanting to become a singer you are going to have to treat it seriously. Just take a look at your post above. It is full of spelling and grammatic errors. How do you think that is going to look to a professional?

If you really want to be a singer you should be making and implementing plans right now - regardless of your age! There are things that you are going to have to know if you truly want to be a singer! For instance you are under-aged. That doesn't mean that you can't be a singer it just means that in order for you to professionally sing anywhere or be under contract that you are going to have to have a parent or guardian sign for you. You have to start making plans and start making them now!

Sometimes it is a good idea to start locally and build up your reputation. Have you even started to do that yet? People have so many resources available to them but they just don't see it or don't know how to use them. Have you done anything (besides posting) to further your singing career? What if you do get signed to a major recording contract? Do you know anything about contracts? While it may be hard to pursue and maintain a successful singing career it is not impossible! I have seen some websites from singers who are successfully pursuing their singing career with the help of the Internet? Have you considered using this as a resource? You just won't know what opportunities and resources are available to you if you don't look or even know where to look! Dreaming about a singing career is one thing - actually doing something about it is another!

Hi we will do anything to get a recored deal label our ages are 14 and one 11 year old we work hard Jasmine has a recorder and a mike and Tiffany's brother makes beats we sing hip hop,rnb,and rock. we are inspired by Whitney Houston,Tina Turner, Outkast,Maroon 5, Jojo, and Hilary Duff
We are inspired by Outkast cause we come from bad places but you still can make it and because they just don't stick to one kind of music. We are also inspired by JOJO and Hilary Duff because you can start young and be what ever you want why wait when you can grab it now. All of us write our own songs and we try to make the beats to go to the song. I think GOD really wanted us to be together because he blessed us with the ablity to write songs, to sing and a person who's brother can make beats and a person who has a mike and a recorder so we can make our demo tapes and send then out. Kayla and Imani they both gonna take singing lessons after report cards and come back and teach the group what they learned. We all can dance. I know this is long but you will understand if you read it. Even if we get turned down we still go out there and find another person who will take us we have been going from site to site. We gonna keep on dowin it until we make it.

The name of our group is the BLESSED ONES

We will do anything to get a label. I mean lose an arm a leg but lose our voice to sing as long as somebody will here us.

Static & distortion

When I play wave or mp3 or any other type of music files on any of my players, and then I scroll up or down, there is distortion and static. The use of the mouse in any way can bring a degree, but scrolling brings the worst. How do you solve this.

I Have A Boss Dr-660 Drum machine that needs to be "re-formatted" I guess. The battery died and I am familiar enough with electronic equipment that I can replace the battery, but I still need to take care of the "re-formatting to get up and running again. Please help.

If you goal is to burn an audio CD, Nero (the burning software) do it automaticly

cool edit manual?

Hello-
Wondering if anyone knows where I can get hold of or download a manual for Cool Edit v1.2. As it's been discontinued, I can't seem to find one. I've actually found a Cool Edit program on ebay, but the seller doesn't have the manual for it.....grrrrrr. If not, does anyone know of an affordable program similar to Cool Edit? Has anyone tried goldwave?

I there a program for PC that will take my mini disk recorded music to convert to MP3 or wav. Then I want to burn it on CD. My niece does it with her sound studio which comes with the Mac. Thanks in advance

Cool Edit Pro

I'm an artist/teacher working with disabled kids doing songwriting project. I tape our sessions on MD. Have Cool Edit Pro and want to make kids a CD with sound mixed between our recorded class sessions and newly recorded digital audio that I'll lay over the top.
