recording

I have qbasis software, CD rewriter and a mic. I am a hypnotherapist and I would like to record my voice onto a CD for clients. How do I do this through my PCwithout musis and how do I do it with music in background.
I find it very confusing. Please help

I used to work at a radio station doing commercial and production work and believe me its not all that complicated. I also have a webpage about people who bite their nails (including me) so I have had a chance to talk with a lot of hypnotherapists.

The main thing that I would advise you to do is to take your time when you are doing this. Depending on how long your recording will be you should take your time and do it in parts - just in case you mess up and have to start all over again you won't have to start from the beginning - just from the part where you messed up at.

Computers come with the most basic of sound recording tools which can be used to make your own CD. But what you should be doing is taking your time so that you will get it right the first time.

Re: recording

You can record your voice using a simple recording program such as <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/cgi/htdig/htsearch.cgi?method=and&format=builtin-long&config=htdig&restrict=%2Fsmm%2Fprograms%2F&exclude=&words=audacity">Audacity</a>. The same program can be used to mix music into the background.

Re: recording

thankyou very much for replying to my email and suggesting audacity software. However, please let me explain I have never used any sort of software for recording. Could you please get me instructions of how to use the software to record my voice onto cd.
