I'm a little confused tho... was this device just a converter pair or are you perhaps talking about a video studio VHS machine such as the Sony U-matic? at any rate, it's cool. maybe you are saying just what you are saying... this would be cool, since vhs tapes are so cheap, and vcr's are almost cheaper than the tapes!
