Don't know what the heck the negative sign means

I have just!burn® software that came with my Compaq Presario 5900Z and when I have tried to burn mp3's that I have downloaded and bring up my burn software, some of the songs come up with a +(plus sign) in front of the name and some have a -(minus sign). The mp3's with the -sign won't let me burn, and the software does not tell me what the heck the -(minus sign). I am not that PC savy, can someone help me with this?

Some programs recognize mp3 audio as low quality below 128 Kbs
