Hitsquad Update 28 June 2002 - Flu, Email Notifications on Message Board, Sofware Updates Posted by Jason Horton - Hitsquad CEO (from: 210.50.62.153) on June 28, 2002 at 01:04:05: It's been a bit of a slow week at Hitsquad and some of the announcements I promised last week will have to be held over untill next time because it's the middle of winter here and the flu has worked its way through the Hitsquad crew. Despite that we did manage 110 software listing updates in the download area of the site. The biggest news is that we have rolled out a new Email Notification service for this discussion forum that lets you know when someone has replied to a message you posted. You just have to tick the box right above the "Post Message" button and an email will automatically be sent to you when someone replies to your message. If you decide you don't want to receive any more emails for that message you can block any further notifications by following the simple instructions you get in each email the system sends you. We've only put it on this one discussion forum for the time being as the system is currently in beta testing stage - we'll wait to we see what some of the side-effects are before rolling it out across our other 8000+ forums.
