Hi there. Can you help? I am trying to record soundbites from a DVD. At the moment I am hooking up a twin 3.5mm cable (dont know the exact name of the cable but the jack or plug bit - whatever you want to call it - has 2 headphone/microphone size jacks at both ends of the cable) from the speaker port to the 'line in' port. Sound records when I play my DVD and hit the record button on my freeware sound recording program. However the noise is terrible. I have tried reducing the noise using filters, reducing the sound recording gain volumes, you name it and It always comes out extremely 'hissy'. There must be a way of recording cd quality sound? If you can record sound from a CD, save it as an MP3 file, and not know the difference in sound quality, there must be a way recording sound from a DVD and not lose quality also. But how?????!!!!!!!! Any thoughts on this would be warmly recieved. Thanks for your time. Cheers Ross
