You say that removing individual instruments from a song is impossible. Have you ever listened to dub? Dub mixer type people (King Tubby, Lee Perry etc) would take an old tune and then remove instruments and then fade them in and out as required. Are you saying that this is only impossible with software? Because it's done with hardware everyday.
