: hi James,

: Here's how to record your Redrum pattern to the sequencer:

: 1. Select the 'Redrum' track on the sequencer page.

: 2. Select (click on) the Redrum machine in the rack.

: 3. Go in the 'edit' menu and select the option 'copy pattern to track'. Reason will place copies of your pattern into the seqencer page between the loop points.

: Then, either:

: 4a. You will need to disable the Redrum's internal seqencer once you have done this by clicking on the two lights above the RUN button. (Enable pattern section & Pattern)

: or

: 4b. go in the edit menu again and select 'Clear Pattern'. You can then add additional percussion on top of your seqenced beats.

: Sorted. U might find it useful to note that the 'edit' menu in Reason changes depending on which device you have selected in your rack - there is some cool extra features in here.

: Hope this helps.
: C

That worked perfectly thank you. Now I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to save the song I create in the sequencer as a sound file such as a wav or an aiff. If I just go to save song as wav or aiff all of the sound I've programed all start at the same time where as if I create a song in the sequencer certain items such as a drum machine will start maybe a couple of measures into the song.

Thanks again
Jim
