I think that it would also be kinder if system requirements were mandatory for uploads. Too many items never say what's needed to run them. This is a waste of time for everyone if the wrong users download certain files, especially large ones. It would also be fantastic if the number of clicks to get to the files could be reduced. There are lots and lots of shareware/freeware sites, but most of them don't require so many clicks and pauses to get to the actual file. Also, the links are too long. They should just be direct links to the sources. In other words, instead of a big long HTML script line, it should just be a direct http or ftp link to the file, such as http://hitsquad.com/downloads/pc/cubasis.zip or http://steinberg.com/downloads/cubasis.zip these links are ficticious, but you get the idea. Also, it would make it easier if all files were in .ZIP format. This is already a universal format, and it has been improved continually. Even on a mac, .ZIP files are smaller than .SIT files.
