Recoton makes an inexpensive phono preamp that costs around $30-$40 that will enable you to take LPs right from your turntable straight into your sound card input with having to have your entire stereo at the computer's side. You need a good program such as SoundForge or Cool Edit Pro to record the LP input to WAV format. From there you can clean up the cracks and pops. -Drummz-
