Below is one of thousands of messages contained in our Music Software Discussion & Help Forum |
I have some music in mp3/wave format that I want to customize (e.g add percussion, add main tune to a karaoke music, add metronome for training, etc), so I'm looking for software that can have one audio track and one or more midi tracks that allows me to compose on screen. It would be even better if the software can render the midi track and mix it with the audio to produce a wave or mp3 output. I'm not familiar w/ midi terminology. Is what I'm looking for called a midi sequencer or editor? Is the audio track feature common? Is there a free software that would serve my purpose?
