sample mapping ? Posted by Mike (from: 172.167.4.35) on April 27, 2003 at 14:41:56: what program could i use to map certain samples to a midi keyboard and have that program be triggered by my midi editor (freestyle 2.3 or cakewalk 9). i have downloaded all the samples from a tr808 and 909 (and i want to use my own samples too) and want to use them in comps, but i want to avoid having to buy an expensive drum machine. if this is not possible, is there a software-based drum machine that can be triggered by a midi editor? help!
