What's some good software for writing sheet music???

I've been writing some hymn arrangements and my handwritten ones are a mess; I think I'm the only one who can read it. I would like some good music-writing software. I bought something called "MusicWrite" and it's terrible; I have a hard time with the rests, and I can't even do dotted notes. I want something fully customizable, where I put my own measures in and everything and does right hand and left hand at the same time, that has a free trial. This is for piano, by the way.

You might like to try Noteworthy Composer. I've been using it for years and it's quiet good. Also, you can save your work as a MIDI file as well as the sheet music. It's got all the rests, dotted notes, triplets, slurs, ties etc. The list is endless.

Maybe you should start with <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/FinaleNotePad/">Finale NotePad</a>
