Using Hubi's Loopback device + the virtual MIDI canles is not that hard.
First I suggest you actually read the documentation supplied with the program.
You can try different setups, e.g. using one Loopback terminal as MIDI out for both XGedit and Cubase and then connect this to your soundcards MIDI out using one virtual MIDI cable.
This works fine for me. Anyway, do read the documentation 'cause it's packed with useful hints...
