MPC 2000-ZIP DRIVE PROBLEM

Posted by Tim Jones on Sun, 02/29/04 - 20:49:27.

I have a 100m.b. Iomega zip drive and a mpc 2000. When I try to save using the Iomega my m.p. freezes up. What's the deal? Do I have the wrong zip? If so which one should I purchase?

Re: MPC 2000-ZIP DRIVE PROBLEM

you may have already got an answer to your problem but here it is just in case...the same thing happened to me with 250mb...you probably have an IDE zip drive...if so, it blew your scsi port...(sorry)...check to see if your zip drive has id # switch in the back...if not, you have an IDE drive...it'll probably cost about $100 to get it fixed...don't continue to connect it...

Do you really use a "SCSI"-Zip Drive or is it a paralell-port model?
