Ok. I am trying to get into electronic music, where I can perform alone myself, but I really have no idea what I'm doing. If anyone could suggest software or anything for me I'd be eternally grateful. Here's what I have, and what I need: I will be using an ibook. And I will be performing live. I need a sequencer that will play the backing track for my songs, and I can play a lead on say my synthesizer or guitar. But I want to be able to set tempo in realtime at a performance by tapping tempo on a midi device. I also want the sequencer to control patch changes in my synthesizer. For example, the synth sound will change when it switches to the chorus of the song. I need another midi device that will allow me to trigger samples on command, and these samples will change to different samples as needed in different parts of the song. I want to have an amount of randomness or improvisation, so if I feel like dancing with my audience or something I can, and the song won't progress to the next part until I trigger it to with say, a footpedal. Last, I will have one of those loopstation guitar pedals that will need to be connected with midi so I can loop my guitar live perfectly in time with everything else.
