i know there's no such thing as fruity loops for macs but is there anything similar on offer out there? or what would be the best replacement for making my own loops? im thinking of getting a powerbook for pro tools, should i just get a laptop?

get emulation software and run it on your mac.

I HATE WINDOWS PCs!!!

It depends on how much money you want to spend etc. Ableton Live might be worth a look. Try the Mac Computer-aided Music section.

Re: anything similar to fruity loops for mac?

remember protools will only run with the 'audio in' device connected ... for instance when you buy a M-box with protools ableton reason etc you can work on it on the powerbook but only if you have the m box connected.. so working ;on the road, in the train or whereever you want to compose in protools --this means you have also take the mbox with you

other that than the s**t works fine
