Set the installer to run in combatabillty mode ( windows 98 )Then it should install and run with no problems ( does on my system,winxp sp2)

It worked for me using compatibility mode - windows XP SP3. Original install CDROM.

Cubasis AV is so old it's unlikely to work properly on XP. If the program will install, you could try running it under compatibility mode. Failing that, you'll need something a bit more recent.

I didn't think it was that old. It doesn't even let me install cubasis av because "it needs windows 95 or 98." Any suggestions?

Cubasis AV was released in 1997, so it's ancient!!

If it won't install because it can't detect W95 or 98, then there's not a lot you can do, apart from dual-boot 95/98 and XP or go back to 95/98
