: I'm looking for a specific sound to the vocals which is a warm fuzzy sound, not distorted, when yelling. To be even more specific, Chris Cornell from Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger, is what I'm aiming for. The pro tools 6.0, which I'm using, comes with compression but I don't know anything about ratios or threshold. I know it comes with pre-set compression like vocals, bass, ect, but its not sounding the way I want. How do I adjust the compression to get that warm fuzzy vocal sound?
