: I am just starting off, I been writing lyrics for some time now ,until my friends heard them and liked what they heard i never thought about taking this this far.Now I wana perform and let others hear my music.I got my style , my lyrics, now i have to get back up some good beats to flow with my words.I am trying to find the best way ,to make the beats be worth the lyrics. Well it seems that one of your main problems is having the music to go with your lyrics. Can you write music? If not you may have to find someone that you can partner with - someone who does the music while you do the lyrics. One of the things that you should be careful about is protecting your lyrics-meaning copyrights. You could also be classified as a songwriter but I get the feeling that you want to be the one to perform your own songs. But again the problem is that you don't have any music for your lyrics so that may be the thing that you have to work on first. Rose
