To add to what I have just said....
1: Ease of use really depends on you, if you are good with computers then Cakewalk or Cubase will be no problem. If you don`t use computers much then they may be a bit daunting for you.
2: Sound quality is not that much of an issue, they will both sound the same, but with a computer you can choose you sound quality by buying different sound cards or systems. The cheaper cards sound good, as you pay more the better they get...
3: Also think about the options the software has to offer. These programs are very powerfull, if you will not use the extra options they you do not need them.
4:If I were you I would go somewhere for a demo of a computer based system, from the time you posted I am guessing you in the states. I am in England so maybe someone from the US can suggest somewhere for you to go.....
