The basic way to do this is to make sure that you are creating an audio CD, not a data CD. This should be a selectable option somwhere. I use Adapetic Easy CD creator, when you drag a 16 bit 44kHz wave file on to the Audio CD layout window it adds it as a track. If you do that on the on the Data CD layout window then it puts the wave file on as a data file.

I hope that helps some..........It will really depend on you software I think.
