notation - DMCS?

Does anyone know where I can get simple, non-computer-speak info on
music notation software for the Mac?
I used to use DMCS for simple transcriptions. That was back when Macs were at System 5. It was so easy you didn't even need instructions but you could always get a decent looking part to print out.
I don't need to plug a keyboard into the computer - I just want to enter in 1 or multiple parts, be able to hear what has been entered, and print it out.
Would appreciate advice.
