In Reply to: Is there any way to remove the vocals from MP3s or Wavs cleanly? posted by Mesc on March 30, 2000 at 12:10:48: IF you don't know, vocal removers rely on the vocal being in the middle of the mix which they usually are. Stereo reverbs and doubling of the vocal in any way usually makes the software unreliable because they start to invade more of the stereo field. In a lot of ways, it's down to luck and the type of music your processing. There is no way at the moment to completely irradicate the vocal from a mix the overall bandwidth is toooo complex....
