Kurzweil sng file convert to mid file

Posted by Gary Leib on Fri, 04/28/00 - 16:25:56.

I have a Kurzweil Mark 110 digital piano and have just realized that it does not record files in the midi format but instead in some proprietary Kurzweil sng format. I want to take a recorded file ( via floppy ) and transfer it to midisoft Studio program to be able to work with the multiple tracks and print out the notation , etc. and I can't. YoungChang who makes the piano told me to download a converter program from their web site to do it but the dam thing just won't work and I am frustrated with it so I was wondering if anyone else in the digital music community had any other solutions or experience with this type of situation.

Song File to MIDI file

Whereas I don't understand the technical stuff (i'm not that much into computers)
if you want to record directly into MIDI
(i know that's not what you're looking for but anyway:)
there's a program called "CREATIVE MIDI" which comes with a lot of other programs for instance "CREATIVE WAVE" and "CREATIVE MIXER" which I've seen somewhere...i just can't remember where...
also, creating a midi file, or even changing it (to some extent) is made possible below...look:

<a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Digital_Ear>DIGITAL EAR </a>

<a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/WAVmaker_for_Windows_95> WAV MAKER </a>

<a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Sound2MIDI> SOUND 2 MIDI </a>

all straight from this amazing site!
I'm sorry if you couldn't find what you're looking for...the last site should be of most interest to you...
if i didn't help you one bit, i'm sorry!
