In Reply to: Slicing our tracks HELP!!! posted by Da Eteko Band on April 30, 2000 at 17:05:41: When you say 'Mixed' recordings, I assume that you mean the final Two Track Mix of the gig. If this is the case then you have about as much chance of removing individual instruments from it as I do of surviving a swan dive from the Empire state building. Your mixdown is a complex series of frequencies over the wide audio bandwidth and represents one wave. Picking out individual frequencies related to one or other instrument would be too complicated even if they weren't all moving around. I have said things in the past are virtually impossible and they have become resonably possible but this one will probably come after the cure for the common cold.
