In Reply to: looking for internet radio broadcast software (real Player or mp3) posted by Michael on June 28, 2000 at 18:46:58: Hi there, Great question! I've been keen to do some broadcasts from home in my spare time, but am hindered by only having 56.6 modem to play with. Still, here are a couple of suggestions. Shoutcast is a well-known and widely used software package for broadcasting. SHOUTcast WIN32 GUI server v1.5.0 for Windows 95/98/2000/NT SHOUTcast Source for Winamp DSP Plug-in for Windows 95 SHOUTcast WIN32 server v1.666.1 for Windows 95/98/NT Don't forget to take a look at Real.com for their RealServer, which allows 25 simultaneous streams. It isn't much, but it's a start. There's also Live365.com which offers a neat service. Anyone else care to chip in? Cheers : I am in the process of starting a radio station on the internet. I would like to find out what the best software is that would be fully automated and easy to use? I would like to use the realpayer format for the streaming. Is there any free software available, or some that wont empty my wallet?
