I want to convert tape to cd using my computer. I have a cd burner installed on my computer and i have a tape deck. what is the best way to get the output of my tape deck into my computer and onto the cd? I'm guessing step one is that i need something to convert the singal from my tape deck into a digital signal for input into my computer, right? how do I do that? Is that expensive? I have a thing in the back of my computer that has a little symbol next to it that leads me to believe i might be able to plug the tape deck output into this and use a software package to convert that signal format into digital. Is the tape deck output an analog signal and is a digital in a binary format? I don't know what I'm doing. Help. Thanks.
