: : You need a synthesizer to play the MIDI files. This can be the synthesizer built into a sound card. (There's also such a thing as a MIDI renderer, but I haven't heard much about them lately.)

: : As you play the MIDI files, record them as audio (*.wav). To combine vocals with them, either record the vocals at the same time you record your MIDI files to audio, or combine the vocals with the WAV file afterwards. To do that, you need a full-duplex sound card, meaning that it has to be able to play and record at the same time. And it has to be able to do it at 16 bits. As I remember, most SoundBlasters won't do that.

: : When you're happy with your finished WAV file, convert it to MP3. (Check out MP3.com if your sequencer doesn't do it.)

: : If you get Cakewalk (or other nice sequencer) and a nice sound card, you can do all those things. If you don't have both those things, you'll need to get creative and work out some other solution.

: : : How can I convert Midi files to Wave files so that I can record vocals over the top turn them to mp3 and put them on my web page. some body help me please!!!!!!

: : You might find the Wingroove softsynth helps. It has the ability (rarely mentioned for some reason) to convert any midi file into a .wav file of up to 44,100mhz stereo (i.e. CD quality). This function may still be used after the shareware trial expiry time, but at only $15 it seems a pretty good little prog.
