Good quality MP3? Posted by Edward (from: 136.164.222.21) on February 28, 2001 at 02:37:25: Hello. My house parties are slowly taking a toll in my CD collection. So now I'm in the process of putting my CD collection in my PC as MP3 in order to avoid scratching the CD's more. My question is what is a good fomrat for MP3? I have been listening to the standard 128 Kbps, but I beleive the quality is not that good. Ok my point is, since I have a big HD (30 GB) I can afford to use some space in some what larger and better quality MP3's. But what is best?????? I'm usning Audiograbber 1.62 with a LAME MP3 encoder that gives me an MP3 maximum mode selection of: VBR-1(~210Kbit),44100hz, Joint Stereo This makes a standard 4.8 MB MP3 song be more like 7.5 MB.
