EIFFEL 65 / CHER VOCAL FX

Posted by AH on Mon, 05/21/01 - 23:18:27.

Hi Guys,

Could anyone please tell me if there is a plug-in for Wavelab (VST / Direct X) or for Cool Edit Pro that emulates the vocal FX used by Eiffel 65 and Cher (on "Believe") .

I have tried using Antares Autotune but I cannot get the same effect.

I realise that Digitech Talker may do this but I am looking for a software plugin and the music shop said that the "Bit Cruncher" fx on Emagic's Logic Platinum will do it, but I use Cubase VST 3.7, Cool Edit Pro and Wavelab 3 and I don't really want to learn Emagic Logic.

Many Thanks In Advance To All Replies.

RECORDING ENGINEERING

HELLO,

I AM INTERESTED IN RECORDING ENGINEERING COURSE ON INTERNET. IF YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I AM USING WAVLAB AND MIXER TO MAKE CD.
BUT I WOULD LIKE TO DO IT MORE PROFESSIONALLY.

I think the effect your looking for is the vocoder ... the best one i've come across vst style so far is part of the 'akai professional vst collection' called the DCVocoder..

I have in fact come across a plugin on this site which does this. The blurb next to it says its the 'Cher Effect' but I'm afraid I can't remember what its called. You'll have to trawl through the listings to find it. Another way of course is to just use a wav editor like cool edit and just pitchshift the sections you want. Peice of piss really!
