In Reply to: Mp3 file help. posted by Sarah on June 29, 2001 at 14:18:57: Do both of your computers have ethernet?? if this is the case, then you could set up a small network with an 'Ethernet crossover cable" connecting the two computers. If the network is 10/100 base ethernet, then it will take no more than a couple of seconds per 5 meg Mp3. Other than that, it's CD burners, ZIP drives (if you have to...) or any other storage system less archaic than the crappy and virtually unuseable, floppy drive. If the modem is gone in the first computer, then maybe you could rip the one out of the other and then pop it in the one with the Mp3's. Get yourself a 50meg or 100 meg 'Free' online drive and then upload them all. It will take some time so if you have to pay for your calls, (why does anyone bother anymore I don't know) so think about how much it will cost. Borrow an external CD burner. Some people have them although most are sadly hidden away inside a computer so you can't tell how naff they are.... ;0) Good Luck...
