In Reply to: How do I edit mp3s? posted by Someone on June 30, 2001 at 18:56:07: Some programs in the file area of this site more than likely will allow you to edit Mp3's without uncompressing them. I personally do it by uncompressing them to a wave file (uncompressed sample) and then editing them in a standard audio editor like Peak (Mac) or Soundforge (windows). After saying that, I can import an MP3 into Peak without de-compressing it. Sound forge and others more than likely offer the same feature. Once the track in loaded into an Audio editor, you could select the section you want to cut and then paste it into an empty audio window (select 'new') and then save them individually. You could burn them to a CD from there or covert them back to Mp3.
