This question has been answered several times already. The simple fact is that it is impossible to completely remove the singer from pre-recorded music without affecting the instrumental part of the music as well. Filters can be used to reduce how prominent a singer is, but they will also affect any instrument that happens to play in the same frequency range. Trying to remove the singer by blanking off the part of the stereo image where he/she is will also remove any instrument that happens to be in the same position, and that he/she doesn't move about. The only way to obtain commercial music without the singer present it to look for a specially prepared karaoke version, where the singer has been removed before the track was mixed. Hope this answers the question.
