Ofcourse there is a whole lot more to it than that but there you have the essentials! With the EQ you want to boost the high+bass frequencies - this will 'sweeten' your mix. With the comp try a ratio of 2 - 3:1 + a threshold of 8db. With these settings alter the gain so that on a loud part of your track there is no difference heard with comp switched on + off. Then on a quiet section switching from off to on should produce a noticable vol boost. In Cubase you may want to stick on a little bit of the stereo enhancer/spread. There are also many mastering plugins which all do other subtle little things but an EQ + a comp should do 80% of the job. You really need to read a bit + practice mastering then listening back on a stereo/in the car to see if u doing it right - jon Follow Ups: Post a Followup
