Set the quality to Very High. Then use the MPEG to MPEG option under the Convert Menu. LAME by the way, is the best MP3 encoder in my opinion. Freeware, commercial or otherwise. And it's freeware as well. This method while certainly more convenient than converting to WAV first and then back to MP3, won't be an improvement in quality. Even programs that can convert directly from MP3 to MP3 still decode the file internally.
