In Reply to: splitting whole cd's recorded as mp3 into individual tracks posted by mark on September 29, 2001 at 08:38:55: If you want to record a CD as playable audio, the last thing you want to do is mess up the quality by converting them to Mp3 first. A true audio CD that is playable in a domestic CD player has to be uncompressed to work although there are some CD players that can play Mp3's although they are few and far between. If you already have the CD that is one long Mp3 track then you will need to open it in an audio editor (lots of memory I hope..!) and then manually split and save into it's component tracks. Most decent audio editors will save the file in the same compression format as it loaded it in so there should be now problem there, Other than that, I found your message a little confusing.. hope I was of some help...
