: I am lookin to record a mix cd....To do this I need to record an audio file, using soundforge, so I can then convert this to mp3 and then write onto cd. Try: Start/Settings/Control panel/Multimedia. If your using a sound blaster, click on the little red star above the faders(cant remember which one) in the mixer. You'll find you have to activate something in there. I'm doing this from memory hope it helps.
