All these programs offer good to excellent Audio and Midi sequencing are priced from Free to around £550, English. Other than that, you will need a decent audio card (low latency which might count out any computer cards that are bundled with the computer when you purchased). A mixing desk and some connecting leads. If you are mic'ing your guitars then you will be okay with a half decent mic and a little technique. If you plug the guitar's straight into the desk then you will need to do so through a DI (direct injection box (cheap)). Mic'ing the guitar amp with an SM58 can often be improved by unscrewing the front of the mic to clear the pop sheild.. Check it out... Steve...R
