This is probably repeating what others have said, but I don't mind ads that are to one side or the other (preferably to the right, though) of whatever content I'm looking at. Intrusive ads will truly annoy me, and I'll make it a point never to click on or respond to such ads. But I have become a customer of, for example, Alibris, whose targeted ad appeared while I was doing a Google search for something book-related. Please keep the ads to the right; and please give them a uniform appearance to keep things neat and orderly. I truly despise chaotic ads that attempt to grab your attention with loud graphics, animations, and audio. I will on the other hands read ones that state their case cleanly and calmly in a set format to the side of what I'm visiting the page for. My browser suppresses most pop-ups, but some still slip by, and these get shut down immediately, without reading, but with a lot of bad feeling.

I agree with Karen.
With a 2 to 4 percent(good averages) click through, what is the point?
Either find a sponsor(s) or find a better way |
