I need help, Im trying to become a music producer !

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Actually, I'm a newcomer, and i have never created a song yet. I am still trying to figure out what all i need to produce music.

Right now, i am just concentrated on making beats. I just want to create beats right now. But i am having a difficult time figuring out what all i need and what i need to do. I want to use hardware equipment and one software program. Here's a list of what all i have chosen so far but i haven't purchased any of these items yet.

Yamaha aw1600 16-track hard disk recorder
Korg triton extreme 61-key synth workstation keyboard
Roland mc-909 sampling groovebox
Sony mdr7502 small diaphragm headphones
Alesis m1 active 520 2-way near field monitors
Audio technica at2020 condenser microphone

The software program i will be using is "fl studio 6".

I really don't need the condenser mic at the moment. I am just concentrated on making beats right now.

So does anyone have any suggestions about any of this? I would really appreciate it. I need help.

all right this is what you need first you need a web page or word of mouth then you need to know what gerned you want to produce

Indeed? A webpage will do the trick? Or word of mouth? Can the user not have both? But why stop there, lets get some banners on an airplane and promote this in the air:)

I suppose "gerned" must be a hodge podge of poor spelling to try and symbolize genre?

But, then again, you do know what you are referring to, so gerned just may be some super-duper producing using word.

Tell ya what ya need first. Love. A simple love for the air that moves because somebody made it move and you enjoyed the vibration.

Then learn how to make the air move yourself.

LMAO. I chuckled when I saw "gerned"..lol. But yet he says he KNOWS what he's doing in this subject..lol

there are many things that need to know when you talk of opening a studio, 1. you need a good p c or laptop, with nice configuration, 2. you also need speaker, 3. good microphone, 4. then software for making of beat and recording, such as fruity loops, cubase, reason 3, pro tools, cakewalk sonar, etc, then your starting price should be bearable, then make contact and publicize. always with your card wherever you are. any thing you can ask questions. am Fedo.
