Hello everyone, just a quick question
What is the best way to enhance MIDI sound so that it sounds realistic? In other words how do i get my electric guitar on my computer to sound like a real electric guitar?
thanks for any input |

If you want more realistic guitar from MIDI sequences then there are two steps.
But firstly you have to understand that MIDI doesn't make sounds, it simply instructs sound modules/synths/samplers which notes to play, when to play them, and how to play them.
Step 1. Get better synths/sound modules/samples that make better guitar sounds
Step 2. Create more realistic MIDI. There are some tools that can help you do this like Band in a Box or RhythmChords |

Good suggestions. But what you really want to look into is to make your midi track, burn it as an audio track THEN process it via Guitar rig.

Try it for 30 days, it is amazing. Amp and Mic modeling not to be believed until heard. |

Another trick is to make sure the 'expression' in the MIDI file is like the way a guitarists would play it.
The easiest way to get that right is to record your MIDI using a MIDI Pickup on your guitar. |
