Software authors and users are welcome to post guides for software.

Examples include How to convert QuickTime M4V to MPEG/AVI/DVD using
QuickTime M4V converter or How to record audio in Audacity.

The only requirements are using the name of the software in the topic title and not posting guides so brief that they a basically just an advertisement for the software.

For example:

[QuickTime M4V converter] M4V to MPEG/AVI/DVD
