Tubester 2 is a free combined preamp, EQ and guitar speaker simulator designed to integrate seamlessly into PC based digital audio workstation software like Cubase, Cakewalk, Tracktion, and FL Studio.
Tubester 2 is a 4 stage preamp with input and feedback filtering implemented to match original 1960's designs.
Tube 4 can be switched in and out of the virtual circuitry to add extra overdrive and gain. See the Extreme setting!
Preamp tubes modelled on actual technical data for the RCA 12AX7 triode.
EQ as for Tubester 1 but with additional low-end roll-off to prevent muddying of the signal at low frequencies with very high gains
Tubester 2 is a zero latency highly efficient implementation with minimal CPU overhead, and is thus suitable for real-time (live) use.
