LinPlug has updated Octopus, CronoX and Sophistry, making them available as a Universal Binary for Intel based Mac computers.
Octopus was also further CPU optimised and now uses significantly less
CPU. Furthermore a couple of small bugs have been fixed. The complete list of changes is:
- Now for Intel-based Mac computers
- Further reduced CPU load
- Envelopes now in sync even for very long notes
- Improved voice stealing
- Fixed seldom incomplete redrawing when switching oscillators
CronoX and Sophistry are now also 100% sound compatible, each instrument can load and play back the sounds of the other instrument accurately. The full list of changes is:
- Now for Intel-based Mac computers
- Fixed Mod-Wheel to Time-Sampler crackles
- Fixed crashes when using spreaded osc to fm/am another osc
- CronoX and Sophistry are now fully sound compatible
Albino has also been updated to version 3.0.1 to fix a couple of issues we missed with the initial release:
- reduced CPU load with open layer window
- alternative color for text displays
- fixed seldom crash on closing editor while sequencer is running
- fixed resizing in Logic 5/6 (Mac only)
- filters do now bypass when switched off
- fixed slow loading of songs with multiple instances of Albino (Mac AU only)
- improved sound when feeding filters with spreaded oscillators
