Your message confused me a little... it needs more full stops
But have you tried a cable with a 3.5mm Stereo plug and 2 x RCA audio plugs, or are yopu saying that's what you did do and it didn't work? |

| Try and pinpoint if it's the stereo or the pc that is the prob. For example try plugging a mp3 player into the stero and see if that produces sound. |

Dude, none of these inputs will yield the result.
I would check the computer Output with a set of headphones. IF that works, then I would plug the 3.5mm cable into the hole the headphones was in and then place the RCA out plugs onto the RCA cassette Inputs.
If these Inputs you refer to are actually ON the cassette deck...then place a unwanted cassette in the player and set the cassette deck to Record. Press the pause key on the recorder so the tape does not actually record, it just lets the signal go through.
tell me if that helps in ANY way:) |

| As for the output on my pc,it plays music on my pc speakers.I don't have a set of headphones to try though.Forget about my setup, how do you setup your pc to play music through a stereo system?Given the stereo system is a component one(seperate cd,cassette, amp, phono). |
