Hi...
Does anyone know of a software that can determine the key that a sound file is in I need to transpose a background track and it takes too long to figure out by ear. I have Adobe Audition...would that do it?
Thanks! |

This maybe won't help you, but the last lowest [bass] note of a piece of traditional music is always the name of the key the piece is in.
Also, if you can sing a scale that will fit to the music your listening to, then go to the first note of the scale [you'll have to be able to know it when you hear it] it also will be the name of the scale.
That's two methods. Good luck.
